Popular singer Abiola Akinbiyi, known as Bella Shmurda, has caused stir with a cryptic tweet seemingly aimed at Naira Marley, urging him to turn himself in to the police.
On Tuesday, September 26, 2023, Bella Shmurda took to Twitter to post the message, “Sha lo report ara eh!!!” which translates to “Go and report yourself!!“. The tweet immediately caught the attention of the public, sparking speculation that it was directed to Naira Marley, the CEO of Marlians Music.

Interestingly, Shmurda’s tweet followed closely on the heels of Naira Marley’s official statement posted on his Instagram page. In the statement, Naira Marley vehemently denied any involvement in the tragic death of his former signee, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
Naira Marley expressed his shock at the allegations made against him since Mohbad’s passing and emphasized that he had no role in the unfortunate incident.
In the letter these are some statements he made;
“In the last few days there has been a lot of onslaught on my personal reputation globally over the death of all my former signing all manner of stories have been moving against me in respect of his untimely death. I have not only been in shock over the death of the deceased whom I consider to be my brother a member of our music family but over the various lies spread and threats against me.I have chosen not to say anything since due to being distraught over his death and in order not to jeopardize the investigation being carried out by the government agencies.I would like to clearly state that I have never fought or attacked him for the avoidance of doubt I have never instructed any friend, or known associates to attack bully or harass him. And with regard to our label, none of our artists ever fought or mistreated Mohbad. Without a doubt I will honour his memory and I promise to do right by him and his family.”

Furthermore, Naira Marley also made it clear that he intended to return to Nigeria to actively support the ongoing investigation into the tragic death of Mohbad. He expressed his willingness to cooperate fully with the police in any way necessary.
On the other hand, Bella Shmurda, a close friend of Mohbad, expressed strong dissatisfaction with Naira Marley’s statement. Shmurda, who had previously called for Marley’s arrest, along with his associate Sam Larry, went a step further by instructing Marley to turn himself in to the police.
