Nacee, a popular Ghanaian Gospel artist, has spilled the beans on what it takes for Ghanaian musicians to make it big and trend internationally.
Speaking exclusively on TV3’s Showbiz 360, the ‘Aseda’ singer stressed that it’s not just about talent; having serious financial support and the right international connections are key.
According to Nacee, having enough money is crucial to get Ghanaian music out there on a global level. He also highlighted the importance of making connections with influential people in the international music scene, as it opens doors to collaborations, partnerships, and exposure in new markets.
He stressed that there are plenty amazing talent in Ghana, but without the right financial backing and international connections, their music might only be known locally.
He said “We need huge financial support and the right connections to people internationally to promote our songs. We have very beautiful talents here in Ghana but if we don’t have enough financial support and good record labels to hold us down as well as having international plugs, we will finish the song and the song will just circulate here in Ghana,”
He gave a shoutouts to Ghanaians for being strong supporters of artists and urged them to keep it up, emphasizing how their continued support makes a big difference in the success of Ghanaian musicians.
